Who We Are

Kaizen is a highly skilled group of consultants, trainers and youth workers who established a dynamic company specialising in youth and community development. The Kaizen team offers creative, yet practical solutions via our unique workshops and innovative training programmes.

Whatever our role, Kaizen will make a real difference to your organisation, both immediately, and in the longer term.

Kaizen has a deliberately diverse range of trainers and consultants from different backgrounds, cultures and disciplines. They offer a wide variety of skills and knowledge and we have, within Kaizen, over 1000 years combined experience in the community field.

They have a wealth of experience and qualifications. Our pool includes:

  • Specialist trainers and facilitators
  • Outreach and engagement experts
  • Teachers specialising in special education
  • Specialists in conflict management and mediation
  • Experienced managers and residential workshop leaders.
  • Employment advisors and service providers
  • Neighbourhood renewal advisers to CLG specialising in cohesion
  • Drama and creative arts specialists
  • Ropes course and outdoor education instructors

They have worked in diverse environments such as local authorities, schools, residential care homes, business, community organisations, and prisons, delivering projects for a range of different groups, including managers at all levels, young people, teachers, social workers, gangs, employment staff, youth workers, and police. They have experience of working across the UK and Internationally.

We have an open, direct, style in which we ask questions that challenge participants to examine themselves, the way they think and act, and to identify new possibilities through creative thinking.

Our approach to training is based around making learning as real as possible. Our training consists of a mixture of taught and interactive learning; trainers use role-plays, exercises, interactive conversations and insights gained from previous professional and personal experience to ensure the training is engaging and accessible to all learning styles.

We employ a range of mediums that could include classroom style learning, small groups, teambuilding activities, dance and movement, music and spoken word and drama.

“I have found Kaizen to be a highly professional organisation, easy to work with and responsive to our needs. Their trainers are very skilled and every workshop delivered by them has met or exceeded the intended outcomes and results…I can, without any reservation, highly recommend Kaizen.”
